Meet Mia
Hi! my name is Mia, and I was born in Lima Peru, that is where my love and passion for the art of photography began at age 8 with a camera given to me by my father.
I arrived in Miami at age 21, by 2001 I proudly opened Photography by Mia after graduating from the University of Miami School of Photography, I exceled at and focused on Hi-Key style photography.
I believe in bright and natural lighting, were all of the photos are true to life color. This allows for the photos to show and highlight the skin and hair color and textures of the babies, bellies and beyond.
I have put my whole heart into my photography for the past two decades. I have been blessed to witness how starting with a wedding session progressed to a maternity, a newborn and the babies first year and the blessings continued from the first birthday pictures through fifteens.
I thoroughly enjoy the interaction with the babies and families, nothing makes me happier than watching babies grow before my eyes and thru my lens, it is a wonderful and loving experience.
Photography is “My True Passion” and it is my daily inspiration. I created a signature which simply says it all, “Memories that will last a Lifetime”

My wife and I have been going to MIA since our eldest daughter was born in 2005. It was our first time to do a foto shoot and it was great to know how caring MIA was and how well she handled newborn sessions. In 2008 we had our second daughter and we went back to MIA to help us capture those iconic baby photos she is known for with the beautiful decor. Eleven years later my wife and I were blessed to have our 3rd child, this time a son and in 2019 we once entrusted MÍA to help us capture memories of our sons 1st year. Photography by Mia is incredible. I drive over 1 hour every month for my baby’s photoshoot. Mia is amazingly talented, perfectionist, is sooo good with babies and kids and adults.
